Photography Pricing Plans and 2017 Rates
WHAT PLANS ARE AVAILABLE?
Individuals, models and actors, corporate and executive headshot, and family (child) portrait plans are available, as is a commercial architecture plan. Scroll down to the bottom of this page to view a grid displaying the pricing plans and 2017 photography rates.
BUSINESS HEADSHOT AND PORTRAIT PRICING PLANS, INDIVIDUAL PLANS
There are three basic categories of Portrait and Headshot Photography Plans – the Mini Session, the Consolidated Portrait Pricing Plan (CPPP), and a Fine Art plan. Mini sessions are for corporations and businesses. There is a group plan for more than 12 people and an individual plan for select new hires at the in-house Lombard, IL studio. Corporate group headshots and portrait plans start at $100 with the Mini Session. Mini Sessions do not include retouching. They do include one digital file that can be supplemented with retouching off the a la carte menu.
Benefits of the Consolidated Portrait Pricing Plan (CPPP)
The Consolidated Portrait Pricing Plan is for individual clients – models, actors, executives, linkedin users, social media users needing blog images, job seekers, seniors, children, graduates, teens and tweens, etc. The CPPP includes up to 2 hours of retouching and up to 2 hours of session time. This CPP plan works really well if you are not sure you want more than one image and would like the flexibility of capturing different looks on different backgrounds … perhaps formal look and a casual look. Even different lighting is available. Be sure to discuss options and backgrounds you would like during your consultation call. Each session is custom and setup for the individual per our discussions ahead of time.
A set of digitals (2017 photography rates) is $45. Pricing for the first CPPP image (CPPP-1) is $194 and includes a set of digitals. Additional images ordered during the CPPP session are currently discounted (2017). Discounted images do not automatically include a set of digitals. That is, the first image is $194 ($149 + $45). The second, third, fourth image, etc. are offered at half price retouched for $75 each, excluding digitals.
Simplified Photography Pricing Rates for 2017
The grid below after the retouching example shows your total price based on the number of images ordered from a CPPP plan. The pricing below includes retouching and a set of digitals for each image ordered. If you want additional items (perhaps a print), these are available off the a la carte menu. Note: If you purchase a tangible item (e.g., images delivered via USB), be sure to add taxes based on the total amount of your session. Additional add-ons and photography options are listed at a la carte menu. Most clients today opt for the set of optimized digitals for $45. (This discount is only available for images ordered during the session.) The grid below lists the total cost of a CPPP session based on the number of images ordered – CPPP-1, CPPP-2, etc.
Do I need Retouching?
Are you a corporation considering the mini plan? Not sure you need retouching? In the retouching GIF above, a great deal of retouching is used to illustrate the potential difference between an out of the camera image shot in RAW and one retouched. Not all images need to be retouched to this degree. Check out the images in the portrait gallery to see real world examples of final products. You can also visit the mini plan page to see examples of final products.
CPP Quick Reference Photography Pricing Rate Chart
The Consolidated Portrait Pricing (CPP) plan allows clients to purchase additional images at half price ($75 instead of $149) not including deliverables when ordered during the session. Most clients choose a set of digitals for $45 with licensing for print, web, and social media. (See the a la carte menu for details and specs.)
Photography DiscountS – RATES on Additional Images Ordered during a CPPP
The quick reference chart shows the total cost (not including taxes) for 1, 2, 3, or 4 images with digitals and usage licensing for print, web, and social media delivered electronically. When ordered during your CPPP session, 4 images retouched with usage licensing (non-commercial) are available for $554. (If you want to order 5 or more images, just add an additional $75 and $45 to the total cost shown in CPP 4, per additional image.) Otherwise 4 images retouched are $776. That is a $222 SAVINGS when you order additional images during your session. The CPPP1 session is a GREAT value because it gives you much flexibility to capture many images… different looks …, yet you can order only one or opt to order more at the lowest cost possible.
Typically sessions must be booked at least a few days in advance (3+). Scheduling requirements (phone consultation, full contact information, plan choice, backdrop and lighting choice, booking fee, setup requirements, etc.) must be completed and processed at least 48 hours prior to a photoshoot.
Rescheduling / Cancellations
Booking fees apply to the total amount due with one exception – you must provide a minimum of 48 hours (business days) notice of any rescheduling needs or cancellation, in order to receive a refund of your booking fee / to reapply your booking fee to your new photo shoot date.
Scheduling on Short Notice / Fast Image Delivery
For those occasions when you must have an image on short notice (i.e. less than 48 hours prior to a scheduled date), this can typically be accommodated. However, please note there is an additional $100 fee applied to the total amount due.
Holiday Photo Shoots
If images must be processed over a holiday weekend, there is a $100 holiday processing fee added to the total amount due.
